Des
Des is an experienced Toastmaster having spent 30 years as a toastmaster’s member. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the club. He has served in all club executive roles in toastmasters. Club President VPE etc.. He has also been Division Director, Area Director both in District 69 and District 70 (NSW). After travelling extensively, he is looking forward to maintaining the dynamic club that Tropic City is. Des will carry out the role as President to the best of his ability and will always be available for help with any problems that may arise.
Mark
Mark is an experienced Toastmaster and Past President of Tropic City. Mark has served Toastmasters through being an Area and Division Director and has developed his communication and leadership skills. Mark, as the 2024-2025 Vice President of Education, looks forward to assisting you in any endeavours that you would like to undertake in Toastmasters. Betty
Betty Sheret is an experienced Toastmaster and a dedicated life member of Tropic City Toastmasters. Friendly and caring, she does her best to support guests and new members whilst furthering her leadership and communication skills. Talk to Betty about coming along as a guest today.
Ren
Ren La Porte has been with Tropic City Toastmasters for just over three years. This is her third year in the executive role as VPPR. You may see her friendly smile as she assists to advocate the benefits of Toastmasters in the community. You may find her at events, writing blogs for the web, sending out newsletters, or updating socials. Toastmasters is a welcoming and supportive group. Reach out and get in touch today.
Pritika
Pritika Datt began Toastmasters with Deeragun Toastmasters and later Willows. Her love for this exciting program has brought her now to Tropic City. This is Pritika’s second year in a leadership role having previously filled the treasurers role. Along with treasurer and secretary, Pritika is also serving as Area Director for Townsville this year. This role has her connecting with presidents of various clubs, encouraging and assisting them as they build their clubs.
Michael
Michael Robino is a passionate Tropic City Toastmaster and also a former President of the Club. He is well organised and plays a pivotal role in ensuring our meeting room is well set up on each night.
Mark
Mark has stepped down as president this year after a successful year at Tropic City. He will now play a pivotal role in supporting President Des and the other club officers in their educational goals.
